Prize Draw Terms and Conditions
This prize is open to all residents of the UK, and the republic of Ireland except employees and families of Westfield Shoppingtowns Ltd, CastleCourt Shopping Centre retail outlets and Tayto (NI) Ltd. Entry is by completing an entry form.* Entry forms must be handed in at the Customer Relations desk on the lower mall outside Boots between 1st July and 13th August. One entry per person. Prizes (6 in total)consist of a family trip to Tayto Castle in Tangradee. Prize restricted to a family of 6, minimum 2 adults inclusive. Transport and Transfer costs are the responsibility of the winners. Winners, if under 18 yrs must be accompanied by an adult. No trade, third party or consumer group applicants will be accepted. Tayto Announce Acquisition of Golden Wonder Business
TAYTO ANNOUNCE ACQUISITION OF GOLDEN WONDER BUSINESS
The Northern Ireland based Tayto Group has announced the acquisition of the Golden Wonder manufacturing facility at Scunthorpe and the Golden Wonder Brands including Golden Wonder and Golden Skins crisps, Golden Lights and Ringos, from Kroll’s Corporate Advisory & Restructuring Group.
The deal secures all 335 jobs in the Scunthorpe plant and 21 jobs in administration, finance and sales in the Market Harborough head office in addition to the 195 jobs saved at the Corby site.
This takes the company from £15m turnover to £100m in five years of accelerated growth.
Under a separate agreement Tayto has sold the Nik Naks and Wheat Crunchies brands to United Biscuits. However they will continue to manufacture both products at Scunthorpe under a co-manufacturing agreement with United Biscuits. The company is also manufacturing Mini Pringles at the Corby site under license from Procter and Gamble.
Tayto Managing Director, Stephen Hutchinson, said he was delighted at such a positive outcome after weeks of negotiations.
“We have a very clear vision for our business and the sale of Golden Wonder provided us with an accelerated growth opportunity at exactly the right time. As a company we have invested heavily in gaining a reputation nationally as a top quality manufacturer with excellent management and production capabilities.
“We wanted to further expand our business into the rest of Great Britain, consolidating our core business in Tandragee and developing our reputation as a brand builder.
“Tayto is already a market leading brand in Northern Ireland and is making inroads into the GB market. This acquisition of the Golden Wonder brand and manufacturing capacity is the next stage in ambitious plans for the future.
“We have exciting long term plans for both the Scunthorpe and Corby plants and intend to develop other products and manufacturing opportunities over the next twelve months.
“I have no doubt that the 551 members of the workforce whose jobs have been secured will be relieved but I have to caution that we are still in an extremely competitive market place. Continued success will depend on our combined ability to be agile and flexible, maximising our strengths in a highly competitive business sector.

Tayto Group Announce Acquisition of Part of Golden Wonder Ltd.
TAYTO GROUP ACQUIRES PART OF GOLDEN WONDER LTD
CTO Holdings Ltd, an affiliate company of the Tayto Group, has confirmed the acquisition of the Pringles’ Minis part of the Golden Wonder Ltd business from the Administrators, Kroll.
Stephen Hutchinson, Managing Director of Tayto and a director of CTO Holdings Ltd, described the purchase of the Corby property and the acquisition of the Pringles’ Minis manufacturing business as a major boost to the growth plans of the company.
“Obviously a great deal of negotiation has gone on to get to this point, which we believe can only strengthen our reputation as a nationally recognized brand building company. Pringle’s Minis have only recently been launched in the UK and Ireland and the Corby business is the only one in the world manufacturing this new product. We expect to build on this new relationship with Procter & Gamble, owners of Pringles’ Minis.
“This purchase will also involve the transfer of 195 jobs into the future and underpins the 350 jobs in Tandragee.
“The acquisition increases our employment figures dramatically and underpins the £7m investment completed at our Tandragee base last year. That investment, coupled with a sound reputation for producing top quality products, helped us secure a £10m contract from Tesco and significant additional orders from a wide range of national retailers.
“However, as a Group we have demonstrated that we are committed to growth through acquisition, development of our own Tayto brands and securing quality manufacturing contracts with global partners such as Procter & Gamble.
Tayto is a family owned and run business with a 50 year pedigree in manufacturing at the Tandragee headquarters where the company employs 350 people.

Tayto Launches New Packaging
Today at Tayto Castle, Tayto is delighted to introduce its new and improved packaging. This new packaging initially applies to the Tayto range of standard crisps and is the next element in Tayto's ongoing evolution.
